Definition of EMDR

As an EMDR practitioner, you can increase your knowledge and advance your clinical skills by seeking EMDR consultation.  We provide occasional and ongoing individual consultation for Weekend I and Weekend II trained EMDR and consultation for those seeking EMDRIA Approved Certification and/or Consultant status in EMDR.  Through consultation, you can learn more about case formulation, treatment planning, and application of specific clinical skills using EMDR.  As you become more and more proficient in EMDR and learn how to integrate EMDR into your clinical practice, we will help you celebrate your successes.

As trauma specialists, both Dr. Giessl and Dr. Hensley have extensive clinical backgrounds and possess advanced training with EMDR in specialty areas (trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, performance enhancement, critical incident stress debriefing, panic, phobias, and obsessive compulsive disorder; and adolescents), and energy psychology.  They are EMDR Institute Facilitators, EMDRIA™ Approved Consultants, and Regional Coordinators for the Greater Cincinnati EMDRIA Regional Network (GCERN).
